Sustainable Oval Trinket trays

What makes this trinket tray different from the rest and what makes it special?

Well, each grain of sea sand is carefully selected and sourced from beaches around Cape Town.  The sand is then dried for a few days and small rocks are removed to give a smooth finish.

Using concrete as my medium makes these trays sustainable. The concrete is hand mixed, poured and sanded.  Each dish is cured in a water batch and takes approximately 28 days to fully cure.  They are then sealed by hand and finished off with a beautiful piece of locally sourced cork.  This insures no scratches on your furniture.

The trinket tray measures about 1,6cm high, 9,5cm in width, 18cm in length.  As each piece is hand made sizes might vary.

This is a very versatile dish; I use it as a candle and spoon rest in my kitchen and lounge area and I have a few placed around the home for trinkets, incense, change and jewellery.  It makes the perfect drip tray for container-less candles and its subtle terrazzo finish is not only classy and minimalist, but suits any surrounding.
